Founded in 1985, L’Œuvre Soupe Maison helps the Lachine borough’s most needy by distributing complete meals cooked on site every week. In 2023, over 30,000 meals, 1,480 bags of groceries and clothing were distributed free of charge.
Run entirely by volunteers, the organization also refers beneficiaries to other specialized services to improve their living conditions. All donations are used entirely to support the beneficiaries, with no salaries or fees paid.
The sales made on the 22nd of each month at the charging stations located at IGA extra Vallée in Lachine are donated to them.
