Montreal, November 27, 2025 — Papillons Infrastructure Nature, the manager of the RechargÉco IGA network, and the IGA Famille Déziel Jarry are pleased to announce the commissioning of two new fast-charging stations in Montreal. These new stations bring the total number of charging ports to 154, already deployed in the parking lots of 63 IGA grocery stores across Quebec and New Brunswick.
In addition to offering ultra-fast charging stations capable of reaching 200 kW and charging up to four vehicles simultaneously, the configuration of the Villeray charging site stands out for its universal character, providing spaces accessible to all, regardless of vehicle type or size. At a time when more and more companies are switching to electric fleets, and as electric recreational vehicles gain popularity, such a charging setup—still rare in the public charging sector—offers a real advantage. This innovation reflects Papillons Infrastructure Nature’s commitment to delivering tailored charging solutions, installed at the right time in strategic locations.
Beyond their environmental commitment, the RechargÉco IGA stations in Villeray are also giving back to the community: on the 22nd of every month, all revenues generated by these charging stations will be donated to the local community organization : Patro Villeray.
By the end of 2025, RechargÉco IGA will add 15 new sites and 60 additional charging ports, proudly expanding the network to 162 ports across 66 locations!
This second phase of the RechargÉco IGA deployment is made possible thanks to $6,750,000 in financial support from the Government of Quebec, through the Support Program for the Private Sector for the Deployment of Public Fast-Charging Stations, under the 2030 Plan for a Green Economy.
